Recount Writing
The primary writing focus for the next few weeks will be Personal Recount, where students will be expected to a short paragraph recounting the events that have happened to themselves in order (i.e., a snowy day, a day at the beach, Christmas morning). Students will be introduced to graphic organizers to organize their thinking and will also use transitional words such as first, then, after that, finally to recount the events in order.

Here is a Portable Wordwall children can use at home when writing. At school, children are continuously encouraged to use the word wall when writing.
